Safe Haven SD was founded by a small group of people who care deeply about improving the lives of children in Sudan suffering from diabetes. Led by our founders — Judy Ali and Nahla Gadalla — we are committed to providing care, education, and support to children and families who need it most.

We are dedicated to supporting children living with Type 1 diabetes by funding essential medical supplies, family education, and social support. Our mission is to help children and their families manage diabetes safely, confidently, and with dignity—ensuring no child’s health or future is limited by lack of care, knowledge, or support.
VISION
We strive for communities where children with diabetes receive timely care, families are equipped with knowledge and resources, and no child faces preventable harm due to lack of access or support regardless of geography, income, or circumstance.
